John Flood - Director As director of Ho-Asogli, John took over the group from Dr. Komla Amoaku, former director of the National Theatre of Ghana in 1994. John has been travelling to Ghana since 1993, doing extensive research in the Volta Region as well as leading summer workshop programs. He is Director of Percussion at San Diego State University, where he leads the percussion group, Dirty Laundry. |

Kathie Zaccaria - Co-Director Kathie joined Ho-Asogli in 1998 and shortly thereafter made her first two trips to Ghana in 2000. She was part of the documentary crew (along with John Flood) in 2003 for the funeral of Togbe Afede Asor II, Paramount Chief of Ho, Ghana. Ivonne Lautan - Treasurer Ivonne became a core member of Ho-Asogli in 2005, and has performed mainly dancing and singing with the group. Born in Indonesia, she has been residing in the United States for six Click here to read more about Ivonne. |

Shira Geller - Secretary Shira joined Ho Asogli in 2003 after taking several world music and percussion courses at SDSU under the instruction of John Flood. She took a year long leave of absence from the ensemble in 2007 to travel in South America, but has since resumed her position as a performer and as the group's secretary.
